Graded 68 Premium Paper Quality Superb Gem New by PCGS and according to PMG Population Report, there is only two other known in this level but there are none graded higher! A lovely banknote with impeccable margins on well-embossed, crisp paper.
Specimen note with the word "SPECIMEN" perforated at center. Black serial number on the front of the note. Émile Gentil was a French colonial administrator, naval officer, and colonial military leader.
Born at Volmunster in the department of Moselle, he later attended the École Navale, the school that formed French naval officers. Overprint: LA REUNION on French Equatorial Africa issues.
